Intake Process
Referral Packets from the sending district can be sent via mail or email to:

The intake process may consist of:
- review of referral packet
- tour of the school
- interview with the student and parents
- observation of the student in the current setting
Appropriate referrals include students in grades 6-8 who:
- Are currently on an Individual Education Plan (IEP)
- May present with cognitive abilities typically falling within the average range, learning disabilities, organizational, social, emotional, and/or behavioral issues that impact academic performance
Students attending SEEM Middle School may have a range of developmental, neurological, or emotional/behavioral challenges. These may include:
- Complex developmental disabilities
- Neurological or genetic conditions
- Emotional or behavioral regulation needs
- Autism and related social-communication needs
- Co-occurring mental health or medical needs
